Walnut Writing Slope

A family piece that belonged to the client’s great-grandfather. It had many of the problems typical of writing slopes: damaged carcase around the hinges, loose and missing veneer and the finish was shot. 

Careful grain-matching of the veneer and a repolish in clear shellac completed the restoration.
